Handwoven on backstrap loom by the Mixtec Indigenous of Mexico. Almost zero-waste is created with the pattern of this garment as the fabric panels are woven to the exact measurements of each piece. Normally huipiles of this style are created with a single panel of fabric but this piece is rather rare being three panels of fabric sewn together. The extra wide size allows for a beautiful draping and can fit up to size XL. The in-seam pockets are created with off cut fabric so are often mismatched in colour or pattern.
